There are quite a few forum members looking after spouses rather than parents - was there some particular topic you wanted to raise?

While you are looking for discussions involving couples (gladimhere's link should be helpful), you can of course bring up anything you want to discuss. I'd also venture to recommend a book to you; it's called "The Soul of Care" by Arthur Kleinman. Kleinman is a doctor and teacher, and his wife developed dementia at a relatively early age; most of the second half of the book deals with his relationship with his wife and with the things he learned in the process of being her caregiver. I think you might find it interesting and helpful. It's available through Amazon and Barnes and Noble and many other booksellers, and you could also order it from your public library through interlibrary loan.

They are here for certain. Look particularly for Ahmijoy, who isn't around lately a whole lot due to her husband's recent illness. Your name is new to me, so you may be new to the site, but stick around, and hope folks see your post and connect with you. Each caregiver story is unique, but it is definitely easier to identify with those with our own personal struggles. I will say, I am dealing with issues concerning a much beloved brother, but a lot here still does pertain to me. And if you are new, WELCOME. Let us know what specific concerns you have.

I see that you posted some years back concerning your Dad. Sorry to hear about ur wife. We are sort of a mixed group. Some taking care of parents and siblings some are spouses caring for spouses. Old Sailor was a good one for help but hasn't been on as much since his wife passed.

Ask your questions and a wife or husband will chime in.
