He is wheelchair bound. And he can't move on his own. He had a stroke. So his left side is not working. But he is very alert and talkative. Very depressed because of his situation.

Since you are on an aging website I am thinking your partner is a senior. Please correct me if I am mistaken. I suggest that you contact Council on Aging in your area and see if they can suggest anything to you. They offer rides to doctor appointments. I don’t know about outings.

What about a church community. For instance at our church there are different ministries for different needs. Check with a local church too.

County shuttles take people in wheelchairs. My step-father uses them all the time.

Just keep in mind, this will vary from state to state/county to county. Not all counties in this country have shuttles. Mine doesn’t.

I see that he is in a care home. They usually have a van that (in some places)will provide transportation for a fee. Have you asked them?
