Is the person able to tell you if she can see or not? It may be an injury. Call a medical provider asap or bring her to urgent care if able or an ER.

Medical questions are for medical doctors, and in this case for an eye doctor. Anything we say here comes under guesswork; we neither can examine nor imagine what you might be describing.
Make an appointment with eye doctor for check up and diagnosis.
Best of luck.

Thank you for the logical insight.
My question is about recognizing signs at end of life though. Meaning bedridden and can't leave the house. I'll be sure to be more direct. Again Thank you!

If this is a first time incident, contact your eye doctor and tell the answering service, even if it is a holiday weekend.

But, first, has this person ever experienced this before?  Any other eye issues?   Any surgery, including cataract surgery?  Any injuries to the eyes?

Is this happening to you or to your mother?

Profile:

"I want to be aware of my rights as a POA for my mom. Im being pushed to sign for Medicaid help and admit my mom into a long term care facility. It’s against my moms wishes and I do not know if I’m in my legal rights to have time to become self aware to make that decision."

Sounds like you're both under a lot of stress.    I hope you can get in contact with an eye doctor ASAP.

As to your profile, WHO is pushing you?    A facility? Family member?  Medical person?

If I had room to write a novel of explanation, I would. Yes ma'am the facility Social Services was dishonest in her intentions and fraudulently portrayed as a hospice nurse in hopes to have me come to the facility so I could be asked for money. All documented. Every single encounter with the facility I have documented in some form. I'm now to the conclusion that nothing can or will be done about the inappropriate behaviors I've witnessed. If you care to know more. I've give you another encounter. I would like to know if it's common to encounter such bullying tactics of Social Services and Administrators. Hell I thought they were there to help you and be against you. Thanks for listening. Would like to hear if commonality of situations are known
