Find Care & Housing
Why would it not be the right thing to do since you have both spent so many memorable years together? I spent morning till after lunch every day with my husband at the facility before I had to reluctantly part to allow him to rest up. He would always tell me how much he missed me whenever he saw me each morning. Looking back, I am glad I did, even though there were staff who seemed annoyed, for whatever reason. There was only one day I missed a visit and that was the day just before he was admitted to hospital. He passed away a few days later.

Each day I tell myself to do what I would do if I knew it would be our last time together. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Sounds like the most loving thing you can do. That is a wonderful thing, and good for her. Also I hate to say it, but sometimes assisted living facility support staff don’t care for people as much as they should at night. So your presence lets them know they should do a good job. God bless you.
