UK here. Replace references to Medicaid etc. with Adult Social Services and the advice is very similar and relevant. I find the advice here most helpful as it is typical US straight to the point (which I appreciate) but also balanced. I found UK forums full of guilt tripping advice ("yes you are obliged morally to give up your whole life/family for ageing/selfish parents") which is unacceptable.

I don't experience one tenth of some of the problems posted here but I feel informed as to how to deal with a situation before it happens.

No matter where you live, there will be aging populations needing informed caregivers who will do the hands-on, boots on the ground daily care for
people who can no longer take care of themselves.

We aim to serve others.

Carry on!

As an American member here I am always interested to see posts from our friends in the United Kingdom (as well as other places around the world too).

Welcome from across the pond!

Population of the UK = 68-ish million

Population of the US = 300-ish million

Yes, there will mathematically always be more Americans on this forum.

We've had people on here from all over the world, the UK included. However the majority are from the US.
As long as you're clear as to what country you're from when you ask a question, it will make it much easier for us to know how to respond to you.
Welcome to Aging Care.

I think the reason is most of the people responding to questions and those asking questions are from the USA. And Aging Care, A Place for Mom is a USA based business so that does limit their scope as well.
There are members that are from other Countries.
I have read in some cases where someone responding will ask where the OP is from so that the question can be better answered.
So to say this is "aimed" is not accurate.
In many cases the problems that people have are universal and that is what most people try to focus on when answering a question.
