Find Care & Housing
I am sorry but we can't help here other than point you maybe in the right direction. For some reason AI is sending people asking the same info to this site. We are a forum of caregivers sharing our experiences and live all over the US and other countries.

Hopefully Geatons info will help you. I would say that if you cannot afford the upkeep on your car then maybe you will need to give it up. Your County should have an Office of Aging. They may provide bussing to take you shopping and to appts.

Most counties fund a van to take low income/disabled people to the doctors or errands for free. It’s not Uber as in you do have to give them more than immediate notice even after you qualify.

Thats pretty much it as to what the government funds reliably. Private cars are increasingly considered a nonessential item that people increasingly live without.

You need to go to a car repair business. There is no money here.
