I’m struggling to coordinate between caregivers and therapists for my dad. I’ve heard that VAs can help with scheduling and communication, but I’m unsure how effective it is. What’s your experience?

Find Care & Housing
I have not used VA.

Are your caregivers through an agency or hired direct by you? If hired by you......

I found having the caregivers work the same schedule or pattern each week worked best.
I'd do one month schedules in advance. Weekends I generally had some who worked every
other Sat or every other Sun.
6 weeks out I'd ask if they needed any special days off and then I'd cover special days off.
It was complicated as almost all of my caregivers worked other jobs so I would have to work around other jobs and also work around college class schedules.

Once everyone was working a general pattern each week scheduling each month was pretty simple. Initially it was a lot more work as I had to learn everyone's availability and find out
how many hours they were looking for. I had some who worked 12 hours a week and some 36 hours.

For communication I simply sent out group texts. I tried not to send too many of these.

Brandee, the OP works for the company that sells the Virtual Assistant product, according to the OP's profile.

jumelangle09, since you sell this product (virtual assistant) why are you struggling with coordinating caregivers and therapists? Does the product not work? That's what it sounds like.
