I do not think you will find a better care group. They worked well with Barb, giving her showers and taking her for walks. They were always asking, “Is there anything more I can do?” The work that Stephanie has put into this program is amazing. I would definitely use her again. All the workers were great. They felt more like friends than workers.

While I was away on vacation, they came to my residence to check on my aging mother, and the care they provided gave me tremendous peace of mind. The caregivers were compassionate, professional, and attentive to my mother's needs. If you have reached the point that your loved one needs more help that you can give, and you are struggling with the very difficult decision of what type of in-home care your loved one needs or feel you need to make a change from your current care team (which is what prompted our family to be looking again), please take a look at Northern Lights Living. It was the best decision! My mom is a very stubborn, almost 94-year-old who still lives independently in her own home. She had 2 back-to-back falls in December that turned in to 19 days in rehab. She wouldn’t be released until we had a caregiving plan in place. We hired a well-known company and were hopeful this was the answer in helping with Mom’s safety. To appease Mom, we compromised on someone coming in every day for 4 hours in the afternoon. After 4 no-shows in less than 2 months of being hired (the first one was the very first week) and a continuous changing of caregivers I had to admit it was time to let them go, especially after I called the owner from vacation to tell him no one had showed up at Mom’s and his reply to my voicemail was that there WAS a caretaker there…there was not. We’ve been with Northern Lights Living since March 23 and couldn’t be happier! The difference between the two companies is “night and day”. They come M-F for two hours each afternoon. Mom has the same two caregivers each week which gives her consistency.

After a disastrous experience with another in home care service we were blessed to come across Northern Lights Living! Stephanie always seems to answer her phone and has delivered on every thing we asked for and more. Daily updates (detailed updates!), monthly in person updates, tasks etc. Stephanie has been a social worker for over 20 years. Her experience translated into a seamless experience for us. Plus mom really likes her care worker, as do we. I cannot say enough good things about Northern Lights Living!
